Literature Text

All I need is one prayer
To take away all the pain
The world is not getting better
And we'll be left out of the rain
Death comes with the passage of time
Life consequently withers along
Just like rhythm without any rhyme
The world is suffering for too long

Everybody has to die sometime
It's Father Time's edict
There will always come the time
That a bullet to the head will just hit
Jesus died at age thirty-three
We didn't care if he did
Resurrection never mattered
Until the world He was about to rid

So kneel down on the floor of stone
And beg for some form of miracle
They say there's sickness in salvation
Pray that time would just sit still
I'm not here to preach some heracy
I never even knew the Being much
I still have a miracle to see
I still haven't felt his touch

At least that was then...

I'm lost in a maze
But it took only one prayer
To get me all shook and amazed
Now I only needed is one prayer...

Inspired by the song "One Mic" by Nas...

About the power of a prayer, no matter to what god or religion, even if it sounds ridiculous... (I'm Christian though)

Read and review as you please...

The rhytm;s a bit off, just at a glance, but it still flows well. Some very good lines here; this poem has some a powerful message.
